About Tool Grading

Tool Grading is run by Tool Grading LLC, an independent publisher. Nothing on this site is sponsored, and no ranking position is for sale.

Tool Grading exists because most software rankings are either advertising in disguise or an opinion dressed up as a number. We publish the rubric first, then score against it, so a reader can disagree with a weight instead of guessing at a motive.

Each tool receives four sub-scores: ease of use, feature depth, value at a realistic team size, and support quality. Every sub-score is built from a checklist you can read on the methodology page, using vendor documentation, published pricing history and verified user reports.

We do not run paid "hands-on labs", and we do not pretend to. When a claim cannot be traced to a primary source it stays out of the score.

Who writes here

Content is written and edited by the Tool Grading editors. Where a page has a named author, that person is a real individual who is responsible for the piece. We do not publish under invented personas.

How we work

How we make money

Some links on Tool Grading are affiliate links: if you click one and buy, the vendor may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. Our full affiliate disclosure explains which networks we work with. Commission never decides what we cover, how we rank it, or what we say about it. We do not accept payment for reviews, placements or rankings.
